A couple of videos are doing rounds on the social media platform wherein the youth could be found administering some injections as they are involved in the drug menace, which is affecting the society very badly. Recently a video of youth went viral on social media wherein they were seen involved in some drug related issues, leaving the netizens shocked and puzzled. It is unfortunate that instead of stopping the youth from taking part in such practices, their videos are being posted on social media. This should not be the approach towards ending the drug menace, but one has to play the role in genuine ways to put an end to such practices so that the society is free from the drug menace. Moreover, it is unfortunate that despite claiming high and tall and even coming up with a mission titled “Mission Waapsi”, the number of youth involved in drug menace is still increasing. It is the time when the society has to come forward and play its genuine role to save the precious lives of the youngsters and the future of the nation. Moreover, the silence maintained by the Islamic jurists in this regard must end as the situation is worsening with each passing day and thus adding to the miseries of the people. The government in its endeavour of Nasha Mukht J&k Abhiyan, should take all the measures to end the drug menace and those behind it must be dealt with strictly to ensure that the initiative taken will come to a logical conclusion and is successful on the ground.
