Corrupt facing axe

The premature retirement of three dozen police personnel by the government of Jammu and Kashmir has indicated the seriousness of the administration in bringing respite from the corruption to the people. The incumbent regime has tightened noose against the officials and officers and have set a target to make Jammu and Kashmir a corruption-free place soon. Amid these measures, the Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) has already started the process to end the corruption and in this regard has filed cases against 111 officials across the Union territory so far in 2022. Moreover, the premature retirement of the 36 police personnel has made it clear that the administration is committed to end the culture of corruption here and ensure transparency and good governance to the people. Some of the measures in this regard include digitization of records in all the departments would certainly pave way for the corruption free society as the decision would undoubtedly put an end to the visits to the offices and thus simultaneously can bring a new era of change within the society. The actions as well as the measures jointly are all set to bring respite to the people, but what needs to be done is to ensure complete cooperation with the government so that the measures and decisions taken bear fruit on the ground. It is a time when the society should work in tandem with the government to show doors to the corrupt, dishonest and undeserving employees in the departments across Jammu and Kashmir.
