Srinagar, Oct 25: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police spokesman in a statement, said that a police party of Police Station Magam during patrolling at Peth Kanihama intercepted a person moving in a suspicious circumstance who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully by alert police party.
“During search, 105 grams of charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Faisal Hamid Bhat son of Ab Hamid Bhat resident of Peth Kanihama Magam. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody.”
Accordingly, police said that a case under FIR number 162/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Magam and further investigation has been initiated.
