Handwara, Oct 27: Former chief minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said his party was always ready for elections whenever they are held in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters in Handwara, Farooq said that the situation was never good in the Valley, but elections would still be held.
“If you remember when there were major floods in the Valley, elections were held even that time,” he added.
On being asked about resumption of cross LoC trade in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that it was up to the governments of India and Pakistan to decide. “Farooq Abdullah cannot do anything in this,” he said. (KNO)
