Baramulla, Oct 29: The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Zahoor Ahmad Raina and other concerned officers Saturday undertook a late night extensive tour of Sangrama area to inspect the progress of works being carried out on Sangrama Flyover Project being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 58 Crores. Pertinently, the flyover is part of the Baramulla-Srinagar-Uri four-lane project which is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 930 Crores.
It is worth here to mention that the the construction of Sangrama Flyover Project when completed would ensure better road connectivity in the area thereby making ease for the people in various fronts especially for the business sector.
While inspecting the pace and progress of ongoing work on construction of flyover, the DC directed the concerned executing agency to accelerate the pace of work by employing additional men and machinery to complete the prestigious project in set timelines.
She also stressed upon the executing agencies to carry on the work with a proper mechanism where the movement of the vehicles and the people does not face any hardship. She also passed on spot directions to resolve the issues hindering the project.
Dr Syed Sehrish also directed the concerned executing agencies to work in coordination and stressed to mobilize additional men and machinery for achieving desired results in a set time frame.
