Airfare hike- Adhere to recommendations

Yet again, the miseries have knocked the doors of people of Kashmir as the frequent and the pesky power cuts have once again pushed the people to the wall. There has been no power curtailment schedule from the concerned Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), but the people from all across the Valley have been accusing the department of leaving them to suffer as the pesky power cuts have begun to haunt the people, therefore giving a sense to the consumers that the power woes will continue to remain there during the upcoming winters as well. Every year, the government has been assuring the consumers that uninterrupted power will be supplied to the people this winter, but the situation continues to remain the same, thus causing severe hardships to the people. The augmentation of power infrastructure in Kashmir in the past several years should have brought much relief to the people, but with the onset of winter season, the consumers are being usually forced to reel under darkness, which must come to an end to give a sense among the consumers that the change has taken place on the ground. Moreover, the power schedule to be announced by the KPDCL after November 10 should be with fewer curtailments so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief. Also, there is a need to put an immediate end to the pesky power cuts in the Valley to bring respite to the consumers, especially during the bone-chilling cold in Kashmir.
