Anantnag, Nov 3: Two non-local labourers working in a private school were shot at and injured in Wanihama area of Anantnag district on Thursday.
An official said that two labourers working in Sabir Abdullah Public School (SAPS) in Wanihama were shot at and injured inside the school by militants.
He said that the duo were been shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment.
An official of GMC said that both identified as Vikram from Bihar and Badahur from Nepal are being treated at the hospital.
Principal GMC Anantnag Dr Tariq Qureshi said that condition of one is stable while as condition of other is critical and both are being treated.
Meanwhile, police in a statement said that at about 1900hrs, information was about a terror crime incident at Wanihama area of Anantnag. Senior police officers reached at the terror crime spot.
Preliminary investigation revealed that terrorist had fired upon two outside labourers, working at a private School (SAPS) at Wanihama area of Anantnag. They have been identified as Bekuu Ram resident of Bihar & Tej Bahadur resident of Nepal. In this terror incident, both the labourers received gunshot injuries and were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.
Initial investigation also revealed that both victims were called by terrorist to come out to engage in a work. The moment they came out, terrorist fired upon them with pistol.
ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar-IPS has said that this cowardice and inhumane act of terrorism is being investigated on top priority and the terrorists involved in this terror crime would be brought to justice soon. Area has been cordoned and search in the area is going on.
