BJP holds workers convention at Khonmoh

Srinagar, Oct 5: BJP Saturday held a mega workers convention cum joining function at Khonmoh area of Srinagar where many prominent personalities joined the party in presence of district president BJP for Srinagar Ashok Bhat and DDC member Khonmoh and party’s young face Er Aijaz Hussain.
Hundreds of youth and elderly people participated in the function. Locals present in the function hailed the BJP’s approach and pledged their support to the party given its pro-people and pro-poor approach. Speaking on the occasion, party’s district president for Srinagar Ashok Bhat said that given mass acceptance of BJP in Srinagar and party’s growing popularity in the region, BJP will bag maximum seats out of eight seats in assembly polls. He assured the locals that the party will leave no stone unturned to change the developmental map of Srinagar.
DDC member Er Aijaz Hussain said that he was glad to see young and energetic youth joining party besides prominent personalities of Khonmoh and other parts of Srinagar. Those who joined the party include Sartaj Ahmed, Muzamil Ahmed, Nawaz Ahmed, Ghulam Mohiudin Bhat, Ab Rashid Bhat, Bilal Ahmed Mir and many others. Er Aijaz welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and hoped that the youth power will help further strengthen the party base in Lal Chowk constituency.
He thanked the youth, elderly and women for coming in large numbers in the convention and extending support to him and BJP. Meanwhile, Er Aijaz distributed financial assistance to needy and downtrodden of the area.
