Srinagar, Nov 8: Jammu and Kashmir Police along with security forces have arrested a hybrid militant of LeT in Awantipora and recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from his possession.
A police spokesman said that police along with security forces during naka checking at Ladoo Awantipora arrested a hybrid militant of LeT and recovered incriminating materials including a grenade from his possession.
He has been identified as Abid Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh, resident of Satpokharen, police said.
“During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that the arrested hybrid militant was in close touch with LeT Commanders and was involved in transportation of arms & ammunition.”
Accordingly, police said that a case under FIR number 69/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been taken up.
