25 students among 42 injured in Rajouri accident, hospitalized

Rajouri, Nov 12: At least 42 passengers including 25 students were injured in a road accident near Rameen Makhian morh area of Chowki Choura sub division of Jammu district on Saturday.
Officials said that a bus bearing registration number JK02CT-0782 was on way to Ghar Majoor from Akhnoor and near Rameen Makhian morh when its driver lost the control over the vehicle and subsequently fell into the roadside gorge.
They said that 42 passengers travelling in the bus got injured, who were rescued from the site and were taken to Emergency Hospital Chowki Choura, adding that five among them have been referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
The injured persons have been identified as Shivani Sharma (17), Vandana Devi (65), Riya Sharma (15), Anchal Sharma (17), Bashmina (66), Priya Devi (16), Rajni Devi (16), Satish Kumar (18), Arti Sharma (18), Komal Sharma (21), Jatin Sharma (17), Pawan Kumar (31), Dev Raj (53), Nancy Devi (11), Vidya Devi (65), Veenu Sharma (18), Harsh Kumar (16), Vikas Sharma (23), Mohan Lal (45), Suraj Parkash (36), Sakshi Sharma (17), Sanjana Sharma (17), Sham Lal (46), Bimla Devi (36), Madhu Sharma (17), Sanjana Sharma (17), Bindu Sharma (17), Sunil Kumar (14), Babu Ram (38), Ajay Kumar (21), Anku Kumar (20), Sanjeev Kumar (15), Sonali Devi (17), Rekha Devi (24), Brij Lal (65), Laksh Kumar (12), Rajni Devi (35), Madhu Bala (22), Vishali Sharma (16), Preeti Sharma (19), Rimpi Sharma (16) and Nisha Devi (17).
Meanwhile, Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Akhnoor while the investigation has been started.
