Speaking of the school and its history, he stated that those who founded it came to the Valley against all difficulties in an effort to lead the society out of darkness and into the light.
“This school has a track record of uplifting and mobilising the community. The folks who came here to establish this school were on a mission to carry out God’s will. This school has made significant contributions to society, and the education sector owes them a lot, he said.
Syed Abid said that besides contributing towards the education sector, the school has also contributed a lot towards the health sector as well as it has established a full-fledged hospital which has acted as a beacon of light in north Kashmir.
“The school administration has also maintained social equity by providing admission to the kids belonging to different sections of the society,” he said, adding that the school did not take advantage of money or power.
Later, he interacted with the school students during the presentation of their projects and congratulated them for their hard work and determination.
Pertinently, the school was selected as one of the top 5 schools in India to be honored at India expo in Chicago on Dec 15-17.
