Play active role in implementation of public oriented schemes: Dr Owais to officers

Bandipora Nov 23: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on Wednesday visited Sumbal as part of a public outreach programme under weekly Block Diwas initiative of UT administration.
He held interaction with DDCs, BDCs and other representatives of Panchayat Bodies and the general public.
On the occasion public representatives and the general public raised various issues of public welfare.
The Deputy Commissioner after patiently listening to grievances, passed on spot directions for redressal of various issues and assured the public that all other matters will be taken with concerned on priority.
Dr. Owais said that public representation is pivotal for all-round development and by establishing grass root level governance through Panchayati Raj Institutions, a visible change is witnessed in overall developmental front.
He also stressed upon the people to further cooperate with the Administration so that all development and welfare schemes are efficiently implemented on ground for benefit of the people.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the officers to play an active role in effective implementation of different centrally sponsored public oriented schemes.
Dr. Owais directed the officers to assess the execution of developmental projects and implementation of various welfare schemes and also get feedback from PRIs and locals for timely and quality solution of the demands.
He urged PRIs to prioritise the works of Schools and hospitals including their repair and renovation.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned from Health Department and Social Welfare to conduct camps at sub divisional level for reverification of old age pension beneficiaries.
Dr. Owais on the occasion also deliberated upon various benefits of PM KUSUM.
He urged the public to take benefit from PM KUSUM and avail benefits of subsidized rooftop solar systems and solar irrigation pumps.
