Hakak reviews functioning of Drug De-addiction Centre in Bandipora

Bandipora, Nov 26: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad, the District Nodal Officer Coordination/DPO, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Drugs De-addiction centre located at District Hospital Bandipora to review its functioning and assess treatment facilities available there.
It was informed that the centre registered many cases and performed different Counseling sessions and procedures to rehabilitate the addicted persons.
Speaking on the occasion, Nodal Officer Coordination said the Drug addiction makes a person hollow from within causing huge loss to mental and physical health besides loss of money and time.
He said the drug addicts who want to get rid of this habit could approach the Drug De-addiction centre where free medicines and other facilities are provided.
Senior Consultant District Hospital Bandipora and Nodal officer ATF, Dr Parvaiz Sajad Shah informed that patients come voluntarily to get rehabilitated at drug de addiction centre.
He said we have conducted studies and research regarding age group of addicts, hot spots of drug use and other areas of concerns across the district.
Dr. Parvaiz advised those who are addicted to drugs to come forward and get free treatment at the drug De-addiction centre and return to mainstream life.
