Four dozen vehicles blacklisted in Kulgam by MVD for ‘traffic violation’

Kulgam, Nov 28: The Motor Vehicles Department in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday blacklisted around four dozen vehicles for the violation of traffic rules, officials said.
An official said that a checking drive was launched by the team of Motor Vehicles Department Kulgam headed by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kulgam at different routes in District Kulgam.
They said checking was held on various routes that include Pahloo, Brazloo and Main town Kulgam with checking agenda of vehicles plying without speed limiting devices, wrong parking and those carrying extra passengers in commercial vehicles.
“During the checking, various such cases were identified by checking squad and they were blacklisted. The expected fine is about one lakh approximately,” they said.
The 48 vehicles that were blacklisted are having bearing registration numbers JK18 1926, JK03 9442, JK18 3481, JK03D 1361, JK03B 0359, JK04 1208, JK18 2720, JK03B 8681, JK18C 8357, HR47C 5300, JK03D 1335, JK18 3480, JK18 4328, JK18 0253, JK18A 2385, JK13B 4931, JK03D 7701, JK03B 4336, JK03D 7433, JK02X 6695, JK03D 2081, JK18 2294, JK18A 5114, JK03E 6466, JK18A 2263, JK18 5643, JK182112, JK03A 5207, JK03 9442, JK03D 1335 JK03C 9444, JK18 3988, JK05B 7336, JK18 6622, JK02W 0485, JK18C 9145, JK18B 4037, JK22 3857, JK03C 1912, JK18 7735, JK03B 6044, JK185783, JK18 9216, JK18 2503, JK18 1203, JK18 3812, JK18 9711.
ARTO Kulgam, Abrar Kripak said such drives will continue in future. “Our basic purpose for such drives is to avoid daily accidents because of traffic violators whose vehicles have been blacklisted”, he said.
Abrar said this we will conduct such drives weekly and the next drive will be contacted on routes like Yaripora, Frisal and D H Pora.
