Baramulla, Dec 5: In continuation to ambitious programme of the government, ‘My Town My Pride’, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Monday visited Sopore and inspected stalls installed by various departments.
During her visit, Dr Sehrish directed the officers to ensure doorstep delivery of services and successful conduct of My Town My Pride programme.
After inspection of stalls, the DDC held interaction with the Public Representatives, civil society members, Prominent citizens of Sopore and discussed various issues pertaining to the development of the town.
On the occasion, the DC sensitized the participants about measures taken by the government to fulfil the developmental requirements of the town under different sectors.
On the occasion, the DDC also heard the issues and grievances of the public and PRIs.
After listening to the grievances and issues of the general public, the DDC issued on spot directions to the concerned officers of line departments to look into the issues of the people so that they are redressed on priority.
The PRIs also raised various demands of their pursuits during which the Dr Sehrish assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Shabir Nawab, President Municipal Council Sopore, Masarat Kar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parveez Sajad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Chief Executive officer MC Sopore Tariq Ahmad, and officers were present on the occasion.
