Kulgam, Dec 7: The Fourth quarterly meeting of District Development Council (DDC) Kulgam was held Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Kulgam, M. Afzal Parrey at his office at Kulgam.
The meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson, Shazia Jan; Chief Executive Officer with District Development Council Kulgam (Additional District Development Commissioner); DDC and BDC Members of the district, and others concerned.
At the outset, the DDC Chairperson sought the details of ongoing developmental works and reviewed the financial and physical progress achieved to date.
He said that the Council is committed to maintaining the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayat Raj and special thrust has been laid on viable District Employment plan, District Drinking Water plan, District Sports Activity plan, District Health plan, and District Road Development plans as per the needs of the people.
Parrey further asked the DDC and BDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of ongoing works in their respective areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC assured full cooperation from all officers with the council and urged all to work in a cohesive manner in order to accelerate the development works in the district.
The Council members also raised a few issues for which ADDC assured full support from the district administration and said issues raised shall be taken into consideration.
