Srinagar, Dec 12: Started from a single and small room from, Tiffan Aaw— the tiffin service, has finally inaugurated a office-cum-kitchen on Monday at Rajbagh area of Srinagar with an aim to serve healthy and fresh food to the masses to give them a home-like- feel.
Rayees Ahmed, a young entrepreneur from Srinagar, came up with a unique initiative of serving food to the people on their doorsteps on February 03, 2020.
“We started from a small room where we used to prepare food for our friends (customers) from the past two years now. But, as the demand has increased, we have come up with our office and kitchen as well, which would help us to serve fresh and healthy food to more and more people every day,” Ahmad said.
The inaugural function was graced by the family, relatives and well wishers.
“From single vehicle for delivery, Tiffan Aaw is presently having a couple of vehicles as well as the nine employees as well,” he said, adding that inaugurating the office-cum-kitchen is aimed to serve food to more and more people now.
“We are eyeing to increase the number of customers we have at present. Also, the number of employees will certainly increase from now onwards,” he said.
Tiffan Aaw worked hard to serve fresh and healthy food to the people, patients as well as the doctors during the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, for which the owner was also awarded by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
With the opening up of new office and kitchen, we are planning to make some changes including from weekly menu to making 50-60 fresh dishes available per day, he further added.
