Srinagar, Dec 20: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad the District Administration Srinagar Tuesday undertook an anti-encroachment drive along the banks of Historical Water Circuit of Khushal Sar and evicted part of water body from illegal occupants.
The drive was launched by special anti-encroachment team headed by Tehsildar Eidgah, Ishfaq Ahmad Khan during which about 5 kanals of water body in the Lake was retrieved from illegal occupants.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has stated that such anti encroachment demolition drives will continue with more vigour in the future so that pristine glory of the historical water channel is restored in the larger public interest.
