DDC Chairperson, DC Baramulla review progress of works under execution

Baramulla, Dec 27: The Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Beigh along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Tuesday took a comprehensive review of the progress and status of works being executed under District Capex budget 2022-23, Area Development Fund, UT Capex/CSS, NABARD and other sponsored schemes.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner appraised the chair about the current status of different works being executed in the District besides presented a detailed sketch about the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes.
During the meeting, the Chairperson DDC took sector wise review and progress of works in Education, RDD, PDD, Heath, Agriculture, Horticulture, PHE and other sectors.
She also took a detailed review of allotment of works, works started on ground, works completed, tendering and other related issues.
DDC Chairperson further directed the officers to achieve the completion targets of the works and ensure expenditure of funds released by the ending December 2022.
It was informed that work projects are at different stages of execution and will be accomplished in a given timeline.
The Chairperson DDC further exhorted the officers that LG Administration is committed to developing and strengthening the grass roots level democracy and executing departments have a pivotal role in leading this commitment forward by achieving the desired targets through timely execution of works.
Meanwhile, Chairperson DDC directed all the officers to keep a close liaison and coordination with PRIs (DDCs/BDCs/Sarpanchs/Panchs) so that a new system of implementation of developmental activities is ensured in a hassle free manner and people can realize the actual and intended benefits of work.
