Srinagar, Jan 5: School Education Department Thursday constituted a committee to check the authenticity of school leaving or discharge certificates damaged in fire related incidents and floods in 2014.
Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Alok Kumar has said that there would be a verification of Genuineness of School leaving and discharge certificates.
In this regard, Kumar has ordered constitution of six member Committee.
The committee will be headed by Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) followed by five members including Joint Director of SCERT, Deputy Director of Academics of BOSE, Deputy Director (M) of the department, law officer of DSEK and Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar.
“Sanction is accorded to the constitution of a committee of six officers to examine the authenticity of school leaving certificates and recommend the genuineness of school leaving or discharge certificates gutted in fire or flash floods of 2014,” it reads.
Kumar said that the committee may co-opt any member or expert as may be required and shall submit its report within a period of one month from the date of issuance of this order. (KNO)
