Ganderbal, Feb 7: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Tuesday took site visit of proposed Phase 2A of Semi Ring Road Srinagar from Pandach Crossing to Wayul bridge.
During the visit, the DC was briefed about the status of the proposed Phase of Semi Ring Road and it was informed that there will be a four lane configuration as per IRC norms that will give fastest, shortest and safest connectivity to the people of Ganderbal to Srinagar and tourists to Sonmarg and Leh areas once commissioned.
On the occasion, the DC gave necessary instructions to the officials for following all necessary guidelines during preliminary survey keeping in view that maximum state land is utilized in the project besides ensuring minimum structure involvement and access to every spot.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by projects Director PIU Srinagar, Site Engineer Highway, Design Engineer and other officials of National Highway Authority of India.
