Reconsider school timing

The incident reported at Gole Market area of Karan Nagar in Srinagar was surprising and shocking as a youngster was found dead probably due to the overdose of drugs in a local Masjid. The youngster was found dead with a syringe full of drugs on one of his arms. It is the second such incident reported in Srinagar as earlier a youth in Nowhatta was also found dead in a similar condition. One cannot turn the eye blind towards such an issue, but everyone should wake up from the deep slumber to share a bit to end the drug menace from society. In case, the people, especially the local Behbood Committees and Islamic jurists don’t pay attention to such a grave issue on time, the time is not far when the deaths due to overdose will be on rise in Jammu & Kashmir. The people have a key role to play in this regard as they should help the youngsters involved in drug abuse to come out from the situation and start a new life with the family, friends and relatives. Though it is not an easy task for the youngsters to come out of this menace, jointly, the people can help them to start anew in their lives. It is the time when every person within the society has to play his/her role in this regard and eradicate the drug menace once for all. But, such a grave issue can never be challenged without making a joint effort. Therefore, a joint strategy is needed to overcome the menace.
