Srinagar, Feb 18: The fate of dozens of government employees are hanging in balance as the Empowered Committees are reviewing their cases pertaining to official misconduct and corruption.
Reliable sources said that many cases related to allegedly corrupt employees are under scrutiny with the Empowered Committees constituted under Article 226(2) of J&K CSRs.
They said that several employees including the top officials may be shown the door in the coming months as part of the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.
Recently, the government ordered the premature retirement of two officers while in past as well several employees have been terminated from their services.
Sources added that cases of alleged corruption against some employees are being rigorously followed by the Empowered Committees.
