Srinagar, Feb 22: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party led by SHO Police Station Kulgam under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam Shri Ghulam Muhammad Bhat-JKPS during routine naka checking at Bogund Kulgam intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. During search, around 1Kg of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Majaz Ahmad Dar @Boya son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar resident of Bogund. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 15/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up.
