Srinagar, Feb 3: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K General Secretary and Kashmir affairs incharge Sunil Sharma met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and briefed him about the prevailing political atmosphere in the Valley, BJP’s pulse, and the overall security scenario. The BJP leader stressed on strengthening the security for the Kashmiri Pandits including the migrants.
Sharma said that he met the Home Minister and briefed him about the political situation in the Valley. “I also briefed the Home Minister about party performance and steps taken to strengthen the party,” he said.
He said that he sought further security cover for the Kashmiri Pandits including migrants. This is the second meeting of Sharma with the Home Minister in the past five months. Earlier, on October 22, Sharma had met the Home Minister in Delhi. Sharma is considered as the key BJP leader who has been assigned the charge of incharge Kashmir affairs besides party general secretary for the UT.
