Srinagar, Mar 3: Working in J&K Pollution Control Board has been affected in absence of the chairman following the retirement on superannuation of Dr Neelu Gera(IFS) last month.
Reports said that so far the government has neither appointed any officer nor assigned charge of the post to anyone, as a result of which a number of unit holders who require NoC to carry out their works have been affected.
“I require NoC for the unit but in absence of the chairperson, my file is pending and as a consequence, my work is getting affected,” said a unit holder.
A number of different unit holders also expressed similar views and urged the government to ensure that the works are not affected by either appointment fulltime chairperson or assign charge of the post to any officer.
