Police book two thieves, drug peddler under PSA in Budgam, Baramulla

Srinagar, Mar 16: Police have booked 02 notorious thieves and a notorious drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining necessary sanctions from the authorities in Budgam and Baramulla.
In Budgam, 02 habitual notorious thieves namely Azad Mukhtar Son of Mukhtar Ahmad Hajam and Altaf Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, both residents of Hanjiveera Pattan were detained under Public Safety Act by Police for their unrelenting criminal acts of burglary and theft. The booked notorious thieves have been detained and subsequently lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
Pertinent to mention here that the booked thieves were involved in 14 cases of burglary and theft in different Police Stations across Kashmir.
Meanwhile in Baramulla, notorious drug smuggler namely Rayees Ahmad Khan @Nano Khan son of Late Wazir Mohammad Khan resident of Trikanjan Boniyar was booked under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
The booked drug peddler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
Pertinent to mention that 6 (Six) cases are registered against the said drug peddler and was involved in promoting drug trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Boniyar and other areas of District Baramulla. Despite his involvement in many FIR’s he did not mend his activities and was again involved in promoting drug abuse by supplying drugs to local youth.
