Srinagar, Mar 22: Director Health Services Kashmir on Wednesday felicitated the doctors and other staff who performed the surgery without getting deterred during earthquake.
Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather visited SDH Bijbehara to felicitate and encourage the staff.
Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather said that he personally visited SDH Bijbehara along other officers to salute and appreciate the staff as this is a proud moment for all of us.
“Today our doctors and other staff showed that without caring for their own life, their priority remains patient and saving two previous lives,” he said. “They were counselling her. The credit goes to officers of the district including CMO and BMO for making efforts to keep everything available at the hospital.”
The doctor said that there is no space for non-performing officials in the LG government and only those will remain here who will perform their duties very well.
He said that influenza cases are being detected every year due to seasonal changes, however, cases are on rise in Kashmir.
He said that there is no need to panic, however, preventive measures are necessary. “Whosoever will be symptomatic, he/she must take hot water and whosoever will have severe symptoms, must contact doctors,” he said.
He said that people must wear masks, avoid gathering and take proper care of hygiene as well.
He said that the department is performing well and after Budgam, Pulwama and Anantnag are now Tuberculosis free and we are hopeful that J&K will be TB free by 2025.
