Srinagar, Apr 4: State Investigation Agency (SIA) Tuesday conducted raids at different locations in connection with a militancy funding case, registered against several accused last year.
Besides other locations, the sleuths of SIA raided the house of incarcerated separatist leaders Bilal Ahmed Sidique and Bashir Molvi.
Sources said that searches were conducted in the house of Bilal Sidique at Karsoo Raj Bagh and at Aloochi Bagh area of Srinagar searches were conducted in the house of Molvi Bashir.
Pertinently, Bilal Sidique is currently lodged at Central Jail Srinagar. He according to police was arrested in Lasjan area along with his two associates Umar Adil Dar and Salik Mehraj, both residents of Soiteng. Police said that cash to the tune of over 31 lakh rupees was recovered from the trio after their arrest in the first week of February this year. (KNT)
