Ramban, Apr 27: Two persons were injured on Thursday after a major landslide hit a vehicle along Jammu-Srinagar highway at Ratanbas area of Banihal in Ramban district.
An official said that a heavy motor vehicle got buried under the debris after a landslide took place along the highway at Ratanbas area of Banihal district on Thursday evening.
He said the rescue operation was launched immediately and the driver and helper were rescued. “The duo was shifted to SDH Banihal while traffic movement has been suspended along the highway,” he said.
The injured have been identified as Jaswant Raj, (35), son of Sardarilal and Narinder Singh, (46), son of Gagdesh Singh—both residents of Pathankot Punjab.
