Srinagar, May 3: Scores of attendants and patients were stuck outside SMHS Hospital premises due to haphazard roadside parking of vehicles on Wednesday.
Several people said that the hospital’s OPD gate until GMC’s road remains overcrowded with illegally parked vehicles causing long queues of traffic jams.
A Srinagar resident also accused the adjoining medical shops and labs for creating the problem of ‘haphazard’ parking along the roadside.
A senior traffic police officer said that the area has three major hospitals and witnesses a lot of footfall. “We will act against illegal parking of vehicles on the roadside outside the hospital,” he assured.
Pertinent to mention that Srinagar parts are witnessing massive infrastructural changes and modifications, works of which are being taken under the Srinagar Smart City project.
