Improving the learning level of the students is solely the responsibility of a teacher so that they could prepare for the future challenges and appear in the competitive exams without any hesitation. However, the concerned education department here has seemingly taken a positive step in the right direction in this regard by announcing supplementary classes for the students, who exhibit weak performance in any subject. In a circular issued in this regard, it has been stated that for the students who exhibit weak performance in any subject, supplementary periods must be arranged for all classes and schools, and records must be kept for verification by teams appointed by the Chief Education Officer Srinagar. The CEO has also directed all HOIs to implement the directions effectively to enhance the effectiveness and operation of their schools. The direction was the much-needed and imperative at this juncture as it would help the students, especially those, who belong to the poor families, to prepare themselves in a good manner to appear in the competitive exams ahead. The schools must be directed to identify all such students so that they are given the supplementary classes at an earliest so that the worry and fear of the future examinations will come to an end. The concerned department should come up with more such initiatives and decisions to assist the poor students to achieve their dreams without any hesitation and make the entire society as well as the nation proud in the future.
