Srinagar, May 13: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board on Saturday ordered inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement of donations at a shrine in Rayil Gund area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to an order, the Waqf board has constituted a 3-member inquiry committee to conduct the audit of donations from 2000 onwards.
The committee has been asked to conduct inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement of donations and properties at Ziyarat Shareef Rayil Gund.
The inquiry team comprises of Nazir Ahmad Wani (supervisor), Manzoor Ahmad Shah and Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh.
The committee has been asked to submit its report within 7 days. (KNO)
