NYK Baramulla organizes District Level “Yuva Utsava” to showcase youth potential

Baramulla, May 20: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Baramulla, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, in collaboration with Chief Education office Baramulla Saturday organised District Level ‘Yuva Utsav’ in Boys Higher Secondary School Baramulla, here.
Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Baigh was invited as the chief guest.
The program was aimed to showcase and nurture the potential of budding youth besides channelizing their talent towards positive and productive pursuits.
Over 300 young boys and girls from 18 zones of the district showcased their talent in their respective categories.
Five different events, Young painting Camp, Young Writers Contest, Photography Contest, Declamation Contest and Cultural Fest were held during the daylong event.
DDC Chairperson Safeena Baigh welcomed such initiatives hosted by NYK Baramulla to provide a platform to the youngsters and extended her full cooperation and support for hosting such nation building events. She welcomed all the participants.
DDC Chairperson lauded the efforts of NYK Baramulla for bringing the youth under one platform and guiding the participants to stay away from Drug Addiction and participating in nation building activities.
Earlier, Dy. Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Baramulla, Hakeem Ab Aziz welcomed the guests and participants and briefed about the objectives of organising such events.
At the conclusion, the Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Ajaz Abdullah Saraf distributed about 25k Cash Prizes and Mementos among the winners of all events.
Chief Education Officer Balbir Singh Raina, Dy CEO, Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Baramulla also attended the event along with Jury members belonging to different academic backgrounds.
