Budgam, May 24: Two residential houses were gutted in a fire incident in Kanidajan area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, official sources said.
They said the fire broke out in a house that spread quickly and engulfed the adjacent house.
“Both the houses were completely damaged in the incident. Fire tenders were pressed into service and firefighters with the help of locals put out the fire and prevented it from spreading further,” they said.
Tehsildar Charar-e-Sharif visited the village to assess the quantum of loss and assured victims of all possible help from the district administration.
The houses that were gutted in the incident belonged to Ghulam Mohiuddin Wagay and Abdul Rehman Wagay. [KNT]
