Anantnag, May 24: Three persons including a sibling were injured in separate incidents of bear and leopard attacks in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, an official said on Wednesday.
An official said that two brothers identified as Abdul Razaq Chopian and Abdul Aziz Chopian, sons of Khazir Chopian from Baisran Pahalgam were injured after they were attacked by a leopard in their native village.
He said both the injured were given initial treatment at a nearby hospital and were later shifted to GMC Anantnag.
In a similar incident, a black bear attacked a man identified as Mohammad Sayeed Lone, son-in-law of Habibullah Khan from Seer Hamdan Mattan.
Officials said the bear attacked him when he was working in his garden.
The locals of the area saved the person and shifted him to SDH Seer for treatment. (KNO)
