The hectic efforts made by the government to conduct a three-day 3rd G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar proved fruitful as the event culminated successfully while the delegates left as well. The event witnessed the huge participation of the general public at the venue and outside as well. From cooperating to extending complete support to the government, the people proved that it was their event, which they made successful and sent a message to the world that the people belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are peace lovers & also filled with love and hospitality. The foreign envoys, besides praising the beauty of Srinagar, also appreciated the love and affection shown by the people towards them during their three-day visit to Srinagar. As the event culminated peacefully, the government, especially Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and others complimented the people for extending their support and cooperation in ensuring secure and smooth conduct of the event in Srinagar. The Lieutenant Governor has termed the successful culmination of the meeting in Srinagar as the beginning of a new era and has opened the door to immense possibilities of peace and progress. The message has gone clear and louder that the peace loving people in Jammu and Kashmir are ready to give their best when it comes to the hospitality and sharing love with the people, who visit here as a guest.
