DC presides over Mega Block Diwas at Kulgam

Redresses scores of issues of immediate nature

Kulgam, May 31: As part of public outreach programme and in order to take first hand appraisal of the issues of general people at their door steps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Wednesday chaired a grievances redressal camp at Kulgam and listened various issues and demands of people meant for the overall welfare and development of the area.
The programme witnessed participation of PRIs and people from Akhal, Laisoo, Nandimarg, Sonigam, K.B.Pora and other adjoining areas.
During the grievance redressal camp, various public delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues before the Deputy Commissioner and sought timely resolution of their grievances and demands.
After giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC assured them that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal and some of the issues and grievances of immediate nature were resolved on spot by the DC.
Officers from various departments who were present in the grievance redressal camp also responded to the grievances and issues of people raised during the block diwas function.
Among others, the Public Grievance redressal camp was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; GM DIC Bashir Ahmad, CEO, CAO, CHO, Executive Engineers besides other district and sectoral officers from various departments.
Similarly, grievances redressal camps were also organised at Manzgam and Devsar blocks where officers listened to the issues and grievances of people for timely redressal.
