Srinagar, Jun 5: The Kashmir Traders Alliance (KTA) Monday asked the Lieutenant Governor led administration to speed up work on smart city projects in Srinagar.
Aijaz Shahdhar, President of KTA, stated that while the speed of work on smart city projects was good but there has been a sluggish approach post the G20 meeting took place in Srinagar.
“Smart City Projects are scattered across Srinagar city, it is important that these Projects are finished at the earliest as the dug up roads, footpaths is hampering movement of general public and has affected business in the city,” he said in a statement.
“Government agencies should on priority finish works undertaken under the smart city initiative,” he said.
Shahdhar said that they have urged the authorities to expedite the project’s work, but nothing has been done so far,” adding that the LG administration should prioritise finishing smart city projects since it has kept businesses in regions where work is being done captive. (KNO)
