Srinagar, Jun 10: In an effort to promote fitness and encourage community engagement, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, along with enthusiastic students, participated in a thrilling road race organized by St. Joseph School Baramulla on Saturday.
The road race, which aimed to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and unity among the students, was flagged off by SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure along with Principal Fr. Anthony, wherein about 100 students of St Joseph School Baramulla participated. The race commenced from Juhama crossing to St Joseph School Baramulla, a police spokesman said.
Expressing his delight at the event, SSP Baramulla emphasized the significance of physical fitness in leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He emphasized the importance of sports and extracurricular activities in shaping the overall development of students, both academically and personally. The school administration expressed gratitude to SSP Baramulla for gracing the occasion and supporting the event, police said.
At the end of the event, SSP Baramulla interacted with the gathering besides, congratulated the participants. SSP Baramulla expressed that Police is committed to provide a safe and secure drug free atmosphere to the students so that they achieve their dreams, the statement added.
