Modi govt ensured equitable, sustained development in JK in 9 years: Jugal Kishore

Jammu, Jun 16: Narendra Modi government ensured equitable and sustained development in all the regions of Jammu & Kashmir in these 9 years, which has also removed feeling of discrimination among the people, said Jugal.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha) accompanied by former MLC Ch. Vikram Randhawa and J&K BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, was addressing a press conference at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
“In 9 years, Modi government has taken many historic and bold decisions strengthening the nation, increasing the respect of its people and given pace to the economy. Many old neglected issues are resolved today. Similarly, numerous steps have also been taken to ensure the welfare of J&K along with whole nation. We are grateful to the Union government for abrogating 370 which has increased prosperity in Jammu and peace in J&K”, said Jugal.
“In these 9 years, I have also sincerely tried and hence successfully discharged my duties towards the masses of Jammu Parliamentary Constituency”, said Jugal.
Earlier, Jugal said that Jammu residents felt negligence on the part of previous governments and felt that funds and big projects in J&K were given to Kashmir. Now Modi government ensured equitable and sustained development in all the regions of Jammu & Kashmir in these 9 years, which has also removed feeling of discrimination among local people. Every region is being heard in Parliament, which resulted in the sanction of many landmark projects in Jammu as well.
Enumerating major development works in Jammu Parliament constituency, Jugal said that people’s demand for broader highway from Jammu to Poonch was addressed, saving precious lives in road accidents. Flyover from canal head to Muthi is completed and work on 4 lane highway onwards. A grand bridge on Chenab River is initiated, and then National highway up to Poonch will encompass many road works, bridges and tunnels. Ring road work is on fast track. Tawi river front on pattern of Sabarmati river front to the tune of 280 crore work, which will be hopefully completed by December. Work on Tawi barrage has also taken pace. Many multi storey parkings are being constructed. Raya morh-Satwari-4th bridge is being constructed. Express higway work in Samba is in progress. OPD in AIIMS will be started very soon.
Rupees 206 crore bridge from Indri-Pattan, Jourian to Pargwal is already completed. Jammu -Poonch road project is being completed with 5100 crore rupees.
In Nagrota, a grand Jambu zoo has already started, IIT, IIM are on the same road. Tirupati Bala ji temple has stated attracting large number of tourists, Grand Amarnath Yatri Niwas is being constructed.
In border areas, there was continuous shelling which resulted in loss of lives, houses and other things resulting in migration of families, but now our borders are in peace and safety and farmers can sow their crops & rear their cattle with ease, children can study well, people can sleep soundly.
Cancer hospital with latest technology worth 104 crore rupees in Jammu OPD has started in it. Bone and joint hospital is also there now.
Under the leadership of Modi ji, people’s interests in Jammu are taken care. Aushman Bharat Health Cards have provided relief to the people. Kissan Nidhi to farmers. West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs), Gorkha, Valmiki samaj were not given rights earlier. PoJK families also given respect and place and they got rupees 5.5 lakh financial assistance.
In Samba, now there are least accidents and traffic jams due to the construction of flyover. Flyover near Degree college, flyover/ underpass near Chichi Mata was a demand of countless people.
We have taken every step to address the demands of Jammu people. Suchetgarh border is developed on the pattern of Wagah border with Parade and Nation Highway tender is already taken upto Suchetgarh border.
Railway Station Jammu is being upgraded, Jammu Airport has been developed with extension of 6700 to 8000 feet runway, night flight facility has been added.
Development works have attained unprecedented speed in these 9 years of Modi government giving a feel of proud to every Indian, providing every facility to the residents.
In response to a query, he also told that Metro upto Vijaypur is already being considered. He also told that the development works in Jammu are being taken up with specific intention to increase the tourist flow which will ensure economic benefit to the business in Jammu.
