Srinagar, Jun 19: A 35-year-old woman died of electric shock in Kema village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
An official said that the woman identified as Jozy Begum of Kema, came in contact with a live wire at her residence, resulting in critical injuries to her.
He said that she was immediately shifted to district hospital Bandipora, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
“After completing legal formalities the body was handed over to the family,” he said, adding that police have taken cognizance of the incident.
