Srinagar, Jun 22: The Handicapped Association of Jammu and Kashmir held a protest in Srinagar on Thursday, urging the Lieutenant Governor led administration to release their six months’ handicapped funds and address all their genuine demands.
Speaking to the media in Srinagar’s press enclave, the protesting J&K Handicapped Association, stated, “We are here to request the administration to release our six months’ handicapped funds, which we used to receive every month as Rs. 1000.”
“The monthly pension we used to receive helps us to afford medicine for ourselves. We receive a minimum pension compared to other states in the country, and we would like to request the government to pay attention to our request as soon as possible,” they further added. (KNO)
