Ganderbal, Jul 6: Several langars are providing free e-rickshaw services to Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Baltal to Domail here in this central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The langar owners said that the initiative was started last year for the convenience of the pilgrims who had to walk from Baltal to Domail by foot.
Sandeep, one of the langar owners, said the pilgrims should avail of the benefit of this service.
A group of pilgrims said the road was not in a good condition before, but now, it has been properly maintained.
They appreciated the efforts of the langars for providing such service in Baltal and said it has been hectic for them to travel from Domail. “These e-rickshaw services make it easy and convenient for us. We now easily reach our destination, and we are very happy about it,” they said
“Not everyone can travel to Baltal, and some of the pilgrims have elderly people with them. This service is very helpful,” the yatris said.
One of the pilgrims remarked, “The introduction of e-rickshaw services has been a game-changer for our pilgrimage. It has provided a convenient and comfortable mode of transportation, especially for those who struggle with long walks or have physical limitations. It has truly enhanced our journey.”
