Srinagar, Jul 14: India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has emerged as a key driver of global growth and the countries from both North and South are looking at us with hope and admiration, said J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday.
Addressing a valedictory function of CBC, Ministry of I&B’s Multimedia Exhibition in Srinagar, the Lt Governor, said, “India has not only regained the past glory but is also offering new hope and aspiration to the world.”
The nine years of the BJP-led government have been dedicated to inclusive, progressive and sustainable development to create equity and opportunity for all the citizens, Sinha said.
The LG said the country is witnessing the fastest development of infrastructure, empowerment of the marginalised and emergence of a self-reliant and aspirational society.
He added, “J&K UT under the guidance of PM Modi is undergoing rapid transformation and it stands proudly on development parameters tall and full of self-confidence. The benefits of development are reaching all sections of society and they are fully participating in the progress of the nation. The strength of youth, women and farmers and the aspirations of the society are taking Jammu & Kashmir to new heights.”
“Together, we have to create Viksit (advanced) Jammu & Kashmir in Amrit Kaal and it should be our collective responsibility to ensure every city and village aims higher and realises its aspirations,” he said, adding that women and youth are the architects of J&K’s strong and glorious future.
The Lieutenant Governor also mentioned the recent reforms and initiatives by the J&K administration which he said have brought new momentum to the schemes that create empowerment and abundant opportunities for entrepreneurship. “This all will lead to a new socio-economic revolution in the Union Territory,” he said.
