GMC Anantnag doctor receives ‘Best Researcher Award’ in Paediatrics

Srinagar, Jul 15: The 6th Annual Healthcare Summit (2023) in Chennai organised by Venus International Foundation awarded Dr Showkat Hussain Tali as ‘Best researcher in paediatrics’.
Dr Tali is an Associate Professor of paediatrics and neonatologist at GMC Anantnag and the first national board certified neonatologist from Kashmir.
Dr Tali has won numerous awards such as the National Research Talent Award (1997), the Creative Writing Award from the Help Foundation and the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (2006), the EET-CRS Young Faculty Award (2017), the First Place Award for Paper Presentation at the 7th Arab Neonatal Care Conference in Dubai (2017), the Emerging Professional of India Award (2022), the Best Young Researcher Award (2022), the Global Icon Award (2023), the Appreciation Award from WHO state branch (2022), Best book award 2023 and the APJ Abdul Kalam Inspirational Award 2023.
Distinguished national and international academics attended the award ceremony.
“It is an honour to receive this prestigious award. More than achievements, it is a recognition of my hardwork and determination for a noble cause,” Dr. Tali said in thanks for the recognition.
