Macadamize interior roads too

As the authorities have once again started a process to macadamize the roads in Srinagar areas, but what has ended up with the disappointment so far is that the interiors have once again been left on the god’s mercy where the potholed and dilapidated condition of roads is only adding to the miseries of the commuters. It has been several years that the interiors in old city have not been macadamized; the commuters have been facing it difficult to travel through these roads as the potholed condition is only damaging their vehicles but also affecting their health as well. One fails to understand why the concerned authorities are not paying any heed to this grave issue as the long pending demand of the locals have not been fulfilled due to unknown reasons. The authorities have started macadamization process in exterior roads, which is a welcome move and is set to improve the situation for the commuters as well as the pedestrians, but such a treatment deserves for the interior roads as well where the macadamization has not been done for the past several years, thus leaving the local populace to lurch at large. It is the time when the concerned authorities should take a note of such an happening and ensure that the interior roads are macadamized in the shortest possible time so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief by witnessing an end to the potholed and dilapidated condition of the roads.
