Kashmir’s soul incomplete without Noon Chai

The government has been making every effort to boost and upgrade the sports infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir for which several grounds have been dedicated to the youngsters, but there are people who have turned the games on the ground as business, leaving the youngsters to lurch at large. Only a few prominent faces are getting chances to showcase their skills in the field while the majority of the youth are being deprived of the platforms. The cricket tournaments being organized by the local youth are becoming the platforms for only a few as the organizing bodies have been asking a hefty amount for registration, which is not accessible for the majority of the youth. Furthermore, the players are being called from outside Jammu & Kashmir while the local players are not getting a chance to play and showcase their skills to make sports their career. There are several grounds where only a few persons are organizing tournaments and asking huge amounts to the cricket teams while those who are trying to boost the cricket are being pushed to the wall. It is the time when the concerned authorities need to intervene in the matter and ensure that the registration fees are not exorbitant and inaccessible to the people. The concerned authorities must ensure that the local players are given a chance to showcase their skills and become able to compete at the highest level and represent the country at the international level. Such an injustice needs to be put to an immediate end so that the youngsters will be able to achieve their dreams.
