Emphasizes on importance of smooth, hassle-free delivery of revenue services

Srinagar, Sep 12: Secretary Revenue, Dr. Piyush Singla Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of online revenue services during a meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Land Records Management Agency, Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency, IT department, and representatives of National Informatics Centre.
During the meeting, the Secretary emphasized on the importance of smooth and hassle-free delivery of revenue services. He stressed on the need for real-time resolution of technical issues to ensure timely service delivery. He added that the department is closely monitoring service delivery at the highest level and is committed to providing efficient services within the specified timeframe.
Dr Singla issued special instructions that all portals of Revenue Department must have tools like screen reader, options to vary colour themes, to ensure ease of access to specially abled persons.
During the review, it was informed that services like Agriculture certificate and Alienation of Land Certificate have been developed and are expected to be launched by the end of this month as they are currently undergoing testing. It was also informed that new services like general caste certificate and unmarried certificate have been added. The meeting was also informed that all services on Jan Sugam portal and some services on Revenue Plus have been integrated with Digi Locker.
Moreover, it was also given out in the meeting that online delivery of CLU permission has been added to change in land use service available on Revenue Plus, which will eliminate need for applicants to visit the Government offices to collect permission. It was also made out that the development of Natural Calamities Relief Assistance service, aimed at providing timely relief assistance to victims of natural calamities, is also in progress for integration with Revenue Plus.
The meeting was among others was attended by Special Secretary Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza; Assistant Commissioner, Survey and Land Records, Nasir Ali; Deputy Secretary, IT Department, Rachna Sharma; representatives from JaKLaRMA, NIC, JaKeGA and other concerned officers.
