Srinagar, Oct 3: The employees of Jal Shakti department under the banner of Joint Employees Association held a massive protest on Tuesday, demanding the regularization of their services and implementation of a minimum wage act.
The protesters gathered at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
“We have come together to emphasize our demands to the administration. We have not received our salaries for the past two months, which has led to great inconvenience to us,” said an aggrieved protester.
“It has been a very long time and the authorities have not taken any action in this regard. We continue to demand the implementation of minimum wage act and also the regularization of our services.”
